| Notes : Each one measures 20 x 60 inches. These are beautiful examples of 2 original UNRESTORED door panels from the 1964 classic 'GOLDFINGER'. These do NOT show up often in ANY condition. Gently used and well preserved. The 'BACK IN' poster has some minor 1/2' to 3/4' border tears repaired with acid free removable tape on the back and it has some tape remnants on the front borders. The 'ACTION!' poster just has some minor tape remnants on the borders. These defects are extremely minor and can easily be fixed by any talented restorer, however since they are not distracting you could leave them alone.
It could be years before these appear for sale again, they really are that rare! These two panels shown are of the Materson girls. The 2 other panels not included feature James Bond and Pussy Galore and one says JAMES and the other says BOND, so when displayed together they say 'JAMES BOND BACK IN ACTION!'.
As you know DOOR PANELS ARE HIGHLY COLLECTIBLE AND EXTREMELY RARE! They were issued alone or in a set for major productions or special theatre runs. They usually contained their own unique artwork, normally featuring characters. They were primarily used for display on theatre entrance doors. |
